Deadly on all large offshore species, and our personal favorite for targeting mahi mahi, otaru (large skipjack), and shibi (ahi under 50 lb).
Troll from 7 to 10 kts
9.5 oz has the best action when rigged on leader that is 150 lb or lighter. Use heavier leader when rigged on a handline.
To fish deeper in the water column, try rigging a dead bait, large curly-tail, or large paddle-tail soft plastic, and troll from 1-5 kts.
Plumbus lures can also be jigged on the bottom while slow trolling/drifting for stripers, halibut, amberjack, grouper, snapper, and other bottom fish.
